Running Tasks

Tips and best practices for completing tasks successfully.

Generation Best Practices

Prompting

  • Read the full task brief before starting
  • Be specific about objects, positions, and goal state
  • Follow any prompt-template scaffolding the task provides
  • Refine iteratively: small prompt edits often produce big physics-validity gains

Robot Target

  • Match the declared target platform exactly
  • Different humanoids have different kinematic limits; a motion that works for one may fail validation on another

Task Completion

  • The motion must cover the full task end-to-end
  • Avoid partial completions; Hydra-Track's task-segmentation model flags them

Common Validation Failures

Reason How to Fix
Joint-limit violation Simplify the motion or refine the prompt toward a more achievable pose
Self-collision Add spatial awareness cues to the prompt
Unstable contact Slow the motion; reduce abrupt acceleration in the prompt
Incomplete task Make sure the prompt specifies the goal state, not just the action
Wrong robot platform Check task requirements for the correct target
Trajectory jitter Use smoothness cues in the prompt

Maximizing Rewards

  • Complete tasks early: New tasks often have bonus multipliers
  • Build your reputation: Higher quality scores unlock higher-value tasks
  • Diversify: Complete tasks across multiple ROBO categories
  • Streak bonuses: Consecutive daily submissions earn multipliers
